The Salvation Army has surveyed its clients and found 55 per cent of them are skipping meals, 23 per cent are eating expired food and 1 in 20 are eating from rubbish bins.

The Salvation Army WA spokesman Warren Palmer spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said it was no surprise that food security continues to be a significant issue for many Australians.
