A staggering $18 billion investment is set to flood into the town, promising a boom of 3,000 new jobs within the next five to seven years.

Shire President Leigh Ballard emphasises the town’s urgent need for housing, as he told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl,

“There’s no rentals available and these proponents are coming into town with requirements for workers and they’ve gotta be put somewhere.”he said
