St John of God has scrapped its plans for a family birthing centre at its Subiaco hospital with the new building to be two levels shorter than what was approved.

Australian Medical Association WA President Dr Michael Page spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said he believed the decision was part of a broader issue with the funding of healthcare in Australia.
