Perth is poised to be the first foreign city to host a major European league match, with reports that Italy’s Serie A is in talks with the WA Government about hosting at least one match at Optus Stadium.

Vince Rugari, sports reporter for The Sydney Morning Herald, explained to Perth Live host Oliver Peterson what having the game in Perth would mean for both the city and the league.

“If it is going to happen anywhere in the world, we may as well have it in our country,” he said.
