Brett, a former zookeeper at Perth Zoo, was able to be reunited with Perai the elephant thanks to his palliative care nurse and Ambulance Wish in South Australia.

Susan Emerson from Ambulance Wish SA explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont how some of the wishes are simple but can mean so much at what is often a sad time.

“They saw each other immediately and he was absolutely overjoyed,” she said.
