Lancelin residents raise concerns over sand mining threat to dunes

Lancelin residents are pushing to halt sand mining in the area, expressing concern that it could cause permanent damage to the dunes.

Shire of Gingin President Linda Balcombe joined Perth Today with Simon Beaumont to discuss the Lancelin residents concerns.

“That set of dunes is really important to our town of Lancelin, it provides some protection against fires, its enjoyed by thousands of people for tourism,” Balcombe said on Perth Today.
