St Patrick’s Day has strong roots in the Perth community.

6PR Perth host Simon Beaumont spoke to Marty Kavanagh, Honorary Consul of Ireland in Western Australia, and Lloyd Gorman from the Irish Scene Magazine about why Aussies and the Irish are kindred spirits.

“We like to feel that we’re contributing, but we’re very conscious that we benefited from the great opportunities Australia’s given us,” said Marty.
