Federal government backs away from introducing local content requirements

The Federal Government has quietly shelved plans to introduce local requirements for Australian screen content on streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+.

RMIT University research fellow Dr Alexa Scarlata spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said streaming services were defined as online services.
