A medical oncologist is calling on the Federal Government to subsidise the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score test, which can tell whether a woman with early breast cancer will need chemotherapy or not.

Breast Cancer Research Centre WA Medical Oncologist Dr Brendan Kirwin spoke to 6PR Perth Live presenter Jo McManus and said the Federal Government was under the impression that medical professionals could predict who needs chemotherapy and who doesn’t but the task was “difficult”.
