Two western suburbs students were hospitalised after eating gummy lollies laced with THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.

Dr Ian Musgrave, medicine sciences lecturer, says the illegal gummies are dangerous and come without consumption guidelines.

“If the system was working correctly you would not be getting gummy bears with active ingredients floating around in the market,” he said.
