Australia’s first female astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg is living her childhood dream. 

Ms Bennell-Pegg told 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead she was now qualified for any future space station missions or trips to the moon.

“No mission is guaranteed for me at all but I cross my fingers and I’ll make sure I’m ready should that decision come,” she said.
