A new SMS scam focusing on loyalty accounts has been circulating, pressing users to act in an attempt to keep their points.

Telstra’s Cyber Security Expert Darren Pauli told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live there is no particular reason they are targeting points and the increasing use of AI could be a worry.

“It’s just another way to break the mold…They use Australian kitsch, so they had ‘bonza’ and ‘g’day cobber,” Mr Pauli said.
