Our coverage of a pet rescue shelter’s decision to remove an adopted dog form its new owner cause something of a stir yesterday, with many members of the public putting forward their own perspectives on the issue.

In an effort to clarify the matter – and establish as much basis of truth as possible  – Gary Adshead has been back in contact with Katelyn Wilson as well as Swan Animal Haven, who have continued to refuse to comment.

Gary also talked to veterinarian and 6PR’s own pet expert, Dr Kate Lindsay, about the age-old issue of the “inside or outside” dog.

“We know these shelters are trying the best they can and it’s a really tough situation, but I think it’s time to have a common-sense approach to some of these issues,” Dr Lindsay said.
