Prescribed burns: deterrent or death trap?

A study by leading Australian forest and fire scientists at ANU and Curtin University has found that a common practice used by government agencies to reduce fire risk could be backfiring in Australian forests.

Julie-anne Sprague talked to Curtin Associate Professor and co-author of the study Professor Phil Zylstra about why they wrote the study, and the alarming results that potentially show burns do more harm than good.
