A recovery operation is underway on the coastline of Sydney’s east where a body has been found.

New South Wales police have been searching for Paul Thijssen who’s been missing since 22 year-old water polo coach Lilie James was found dead at a CBD school.

2GB reporter James Wilson told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings police are investigating the circumstance around both deaths.

“This morning a group of tradies were working near the cliff’s edge when they noticed something in the water,” Mr Wilson said.
