A 31 year-old man has been arrested and charged more than nine months after an alleged hit and run in Carlisle.

Police say the man was driving along Harris Street last December when he accelerated towards the victim, deliberating hitting him with his car.

He’s then accused of driving away before crashing into a storage unit.

The Lower Chittering man is now facing three serious charges and is due in court next month.
