Aged care representatives are urging state and federal governments to develop consistency in Power of Attorney laws to better protect older Australians from abuse.

Council of the Ageing CEO Patricia Sparrow told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings there are a number of issues caused by irregularity in the laws.

“At the moment, the problems that people have are having family interstate, and it’s difficult because there are different laws governing the different states,” Ms Sparrow said.
