A group of squatters have caused a fire in an abandoned West Perth massage parlour, according to firefighters.

Nine News reporter Sarah Smith told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast there was reportedly no-one in the building when emergency services arrived.

“The squatters were possibly trying to keep warm – it’s very cold this morning,” Ms Smith said.
