6PR Mornings host and award-winning state reporter Gary Adshead has given his analysis of Mark McGowan’s shock resignation.

“He loves to pick a fight, whether it be with Clive Palmer [or whoever]; he likes to have an adversary he can go up against,” Mr Adshead said.

“I’m stunned by the timing. Am I surprised by him saying he’s tired, and in fact is exhausted? I’m not as surprised by that; I just thought he needed a holiday.

“But I was wrong; he needs a long holiday.”
