Thousands of Bunnings employees will be a part of the company’s new four day work week trial.

The trial will see employees receive a 10.5 % pay increase across three years, so what’s the catch? 

4 Day Week Australia Campaign Co-Director Alyssa Shaw told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons the new working arrangement isn’t a four day week as there’s no reduction in work time but it’s rather a compressed week. 

“What they’re talking about is flexibility arrangement”…”They’re still requiring a 38 hour week just done in a shorter amount of time which we call a compressed work week,” Ms Shaw said.
