The government has just announced more funding to help increase the housing supply as the country grapples with a shortage, yet hasn’t addressed the increasing cost of housing.

The Commonwealth Bank forecast the cost of housing will go up by 3 per cent this year and another five per cent next year.

This will put even more pressure on the housing crisis.
