Terry Bolland, an adventure-seeking kayaker, who has paddled tens of thousands of kilometres over the years recently battled prostate cancer.

In hopes to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer, this local legend embarked on a fundraising campaign to paddle 7,000kms at the age of 70.

Mr Bolland told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons that he has now surpassed that target and is beyond 14,000km’s in a year.

“I raised nearly $18,000 but the thing was not many people knew I was doing it so it was only friends who knew I was doing but it was pretty good,” Mr Bolland said.
