A 6PR listener had to pay over $25 for a gluten-free loaf of bread but is eating a healthy diet really so expensive?
Dietitians Australia vice president Jemma O’Hanlon told Perth Live the best way to eat healthily is by cooking at home.
“That’s crazy… I don’t think we need to be going and finding these crazy expensive loaves of bread to eat well,” said Ms O’Hanlon.
“There is a misconception that gluten-free is healthier… it’s certainly not the case… if you don’t have coeliac disease then there’s no need to be choosing these gluten-free products.”
