6PR Breakfast received an exclusive copy of WA’s most popular baby names for 2022 ahead of the official release.

A total of 31,709 births were registered in WA in 2022 and Oliver and Isla made a ‘hat-trick,’ topping the list for the third consecutive year.

2022 did see some interesting changes with Theodore up from 13th to eighth place and Mia moved up from eighth to fifth.

Since records began in 1930, ‘John’ has won the most popular boys’ name for 21 consecutive years and has held a place in the top 10 for 42 years.
