32% of Australian corporations not paying tax
The Australian tax office has released its annual transparency report, showing 782 large companies across Australia didn’t pay tax.
Assistant Minister for competition, charities and treasury Dr Andrew Leigh told 6PR Mornings host Liam Bartlett corporate companies should be paying tax.
“It is really important that firms are contributing to the social services they use because it’s part of that social contract,” said Dr Andrew Leigh.
