A medical expert has touted the idea of charging patients $10 if they present to an emergency department but don’t qualify for urgent care.

Channel Nine Medical Expert Dr Nick Coatsworth spoke to 6PR Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said it was an “unpalatable” idea but charging patients a fee would help weed out those who don’t need to be at the ED.
