Whale carcass washes up near Cottesloe’s iconic shores
A juvenile whale has washed ashore at Dutch Inn Beach in Cottesloe after being spotted just after 6am today. This marks the second whale to strand on a Perth beach in the past month, following a 13-metre humpback at City Beach.

Channel 10 reporter Megan Birch told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that the local mayor is confident the carcass can be cleared efficiently.
“Rangers have just come down and cordoned off the whale and they are expected to bring in some machinery very soon to remove it off the beach”, Birch said.
