Two years ago, Bibra Lakes residents were shocked to find a collection of dead turtles on the road after being run over by motorists during nesting season. Since then, the City of Cockburn have worked tirelessly to make sure an event like this never happened again!

Working closely with Murdoch University PhD Student Anthony Santoro, the combined effort has led to a marked drop in turtle fatalities and with further measures about to be implemented the future… the future of these turtles is bright!
