A 16-year-old has died and two other teenagers injured after the car they were in crashed north of Perth.

Police say they found a Holden Crewman ute – with three teenage boys on board – had collided with a tree.

A 16-year-old passenger died at the scene, while a 15-year-old was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

The 16-year-old driver walked away with only minor injuries.
