Damaged shop fronts, trees on roads and power outages are all results of the strong winds and rain that’s hit Perth overnight.

About 50,000 customers were without power on Monday morning.

“It’s like whac-a-mole at the moment unfortunately. We can actually restore customers by backfeeding but with the storm still going through it’s creating new hazards,” Paul Entwistle from Western Power told 6PR Breakfast.
