The English cricket team and fans have delivered a slew of disgruntled comments to the Australians following the final day of the Lord’s Ashes Test following Alex Carey’s shock  dismissal of Johnny Bairstow.

The wicketkeeper tossed the ball at the wickets as Bairstow stepped off the crease , creating an air of confusion.

Nine News reporter Mark Readings is in London, and told Mick and Gena on 6PR Breakfast while the dismissal was within the law, there’s many arguing it’s not in the spirit of the game.

“England is crying foul about it now, and it’s an interesting argument,” Mr Readings said.
