Sheep in limbo

The 56,000 sheep that were destined for the Al Kuwait are stuck in limbo after the Federal Department of Agriculture denied the exporter an exemption.

Managing Director of the Livestock Collective, Holly Ludeman, told 6PR Breakfast:

“Under the Bio Security Act they can only go for domestic processing or for live export.

“So these sheep have come from over 360 properties in WA at a critical time for those producers to sell them into that market.”
