Search scaled back for missing fisherman in Margaret River

The search for a missing fisherman in the South West has been scaled back after a marine and air search failed to find the 73-year-old or his boat yesterday.

The White Elephant cafe owner reported that the fisherman’s vehicle and boat trailer had been left unattended at a ramp near Margaret River on Sunday afternoon, which sparked a widespread search.

CCTV shows Terry Jennings was at the ramp last Thursday.

Michael Stamp, 6PR and Nine News reporter, told Mark Gibson on 6PR Breakfast that the search has been scaled back this morning.

“There is no multi marine rescue out there today, but there is one water police vessel and aircraft as well that is coming from Perth,” he said.

“The search has been scaled back a little bit, but they are continuing today, hoping to find something that may lead them to where Terry Jennings went last Thursday.”
