Bankwest data has revealed how technology tools are handing power back to customers, as recorded scam cases increase almost 50 per cent over the past financial year.

Audrey Pajmon, Bankwest head of scams and fraud spoke to 6PR Afternoons host Julie-anne Sprague on what to watch out for.

“Scammers are really taking advantage of the economic uncertainty in Australians, but they are also taking advantage of the digital uncertainty of older Australians,” she said.
