RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Who stole Paddy Hannan’s head?

Article image for RUMOUR CONFIRMED: Who stole Paddy Hannan’s head?

As confirmed by “Knick Knack Paddy Whack” on the John Hughes Hyundai Rumour File, an absolute tragedy has occurred: someone stole Paddy Hannan’s head.

The statue commemorating the man who sparked the WA Gold Rush takes pride of place on the road also named after him in the middle of Kalgoorlie.

Local Kalgoorlie resident and mayoral candidate Glenn Wilson told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast he and the rest of council are “utterly disgusted” by the act.

“It’s a very honoured statue, but sadly if any new visitors come to town they won’t be able to see what Paddy actually looks like,” Mr Wilson said.
