Consumer Protection is putting real estate agents on notice after suspending a Victoria Park property manager for sending an email littered with racist and offensive language.

Bronwyn Pollitt from Mavin Real Estate has since been suspended for eight months by the State Administrative Tribunal.

The offending email – which was sent to two tenants following an exit inspection – referred to Indian immigration and expectations around ‘white Australian living standards.’

Consumer Protection Commissioner Trish Blake told Gary Adshead on 6PR MorningsĀ the views expressed in the letter will not be tolerated.

“We took this action against the agent because this was beyond the pale,” Ms Blake said.
