Bruce Lehrmann has been named as the defendant in two rape charges in Toowoomba, allegedly occurring in 2021.

Lehrmann failed in his fifth attempt to keep his identity under wraps on Thursday, with Queensland Supreme Court judge Peter Applegarth saying he failed in attempts to argue a magistrate in a lower court had erred in refusing an earlier suppression application.

“Regardless of everything else, he know he had these charges hanging over his head,” Gary Adshead said in response to the news on 6PR Mornings.

Thomson Geer media lawyer Zander Croft also ran Gary through the case, as well as why and how the latest events in the story have occurred.
