US dementia expert urges re-think

A US dementia expert is calling for a re-think of the terminology used to refer to Alzhemier’s disease, saying ‘memory loss’ doesn’t accurately describe the true nature of the disease.

Emeritus Professor in Psychology at Georgetown University, Steven Sabat told Mornings with Gareth Parker that a better understanding of dementia allows people to better-support sufferers.
