Derby sits on the top of WA and there’s not much to the town, but Ukraine is interested in the desert-like area for housing a space port.

“It’s exciting for the community benefits that would flow on….a lot of money, a lot of jobs and people living in the town,” Geoff Haerewa, the Shire of Derby President, told 6PR Breakfast
“We do have a lot of country up here that could potentially house something like that,” he added.
