Uber levy hits road bump

The State Government’s planned ten percent levy on taxi and Uber rides to compensate taxi plate owners has hit a road bump after key crossbenchers indicated they would not support it. Liberal Democrats MLC Aaron Stonehouse told Oliver Peterson he doesn’t think the best way to solve the compensation issue is to put another tax on taxis and Ubers.
