Stolen Gravestone leaves community in shock

Jamie Burnett

The community of WA’s oldest church has been shook by the theft of one of it’s oldest grave stones from it’s Henley Brook cemetery.

The wooden headstone dates back to 1884 and marked the final resting places of Henry Bisdee and his sister Emma Powell at the All Saints Church.

The descendants of the family are asking for help tracking down the headstone, and Graeme Lee explained to Monika the impact the theft has had on the family

You can find our more on the history of this family, who were connected with the early Swan River Colony here: https://revisitingmypast.weebly.com/
