The State Government is preparing to increase the fine for drivers caught speeding by more than 40km/hr, from $1,000 to $1,200, in response to new figures showing an average of 52 drivers a month are caught high-level speeding.

The RAC’s Will Golsby told Mornings with Gareth Parker, it’s a good first step, because WA drivers still aren’t getting the message.
