Shalom House given the boot again

Shalom House has again been dished a notice from the local council to leave their Swan Valley property within 12 months.

The City of Swan has gone against one of their own, Councillor Peter Lyndon-James who started the strict rehab centre, told 6PR Breakfast he wasn’t surprised by their latest decision even though it’s been approved by the State Administrative Tribunal.

“It doesn’t make sense. And also, a lot of the councilors who actually were strongly advocating in our favour to be approved by council in the beginning, have voted against Shalom House,” Cr Lyndon-James said.

The 6PR Breakfast listeners had a strong response to the decision including Mario who said he was appalled by the decision: “it’s just absolutely ridiculous. City of Swan councilors [hang] your heads in shame. You are disgusting.”
