Today’s weather forecast of 28 degrees Celsius could potentially break the Perth record for the warmest August day and the warmest Winter day.

“The Winter record for Perth currently stands at 28.1, that was on the 5th of June 1975, so if we get beyond that then we would have not just the hottest August day, but hottest Winter day as well,” Bureau of Meteorology WA spokesperson Neil Bennett told 6PR Breakfast.
