The number of people recently diagnosed with measles in the Perth metropolitan area has risen to 13.

The Health Department has expanded its warning about the risk of infection to cover anyone who arrived in Perth on the afternoon of Monday the 23rd of September, on Air New Zealand flight 175 from Auckland.

Dr Andrew Miller told Oliver Peterson the Health Department has also recorded cases 17 and 18 of meningococcal disease in WA.
