Manchester United & Leeds rivalry comes to Optus Stadium

Former Manchester United legend Ronny Johnsen & former Leeds great Michael Bridges join Karl & Hase live in the studio discussing a pre-season friendly between Man United & Leeds here in Perth at Optus Stadium in 2019.

While at Manchester United, Johnsen won 4 league titles (1997, 1999, 2000, & 2001) & one FA Cup in 1999 with The Red Devils. He was also a part of the team that won the UEFA Champions League in 1999.

Michael Bridges was signed for Leeds for £5 million from Sunderland. In his first season with The Whites, Bridges scored 19 Premiership goals including a hat-trick in his second game against Southampton, the first Leeds player to do so in a competitive game since Gary McAllister in October 1995.

Bridges had a short term loan deal with Sydney FC, playing just nine games & scoring two goals before the deal was up.
