Let’s Talk Business, Monday 14 October

On Let’s talk business tonight:

All small business owners are trying to find their niche and build a loyal customer base, but one Northern suburbs business has done that and more, it’s become a community hub drawing people from all over the city, and the state! Janet Collins started her Wangara quilting shop, From the First Stitch to the Last, two years ago with her sister and two friends not sure it would work out, but it’s gone from strength to strength. She’s here to talk about building a community around her business, and turning her passion into a job.

And, the days are getting longer, the weather warmer, and your office has never felt more stifling and restrictive. Solution? Working outdoors! Or at your favourite cafe! By the beach! Modern conveniences and a few handy gadgets mean its possible for you to be as productive under the shade of a coolabah tree as you are from the office.

So what are the essentials? And what are the traps and pitfalls to be avoided? Lanna Hill is our favourite business coach and she’s with us to give us some tips on how to enjoy working away from the office and actually get some work done.
