Usman Khawaja is at a loss to explain why he was left out of Australia’s One Day International squad.

The 33-year-old says he is unsure what else he could have done to earn selection.

Meanwhile Cricket Australia Pitch Advisor Les Burdett claims he has never seen an MCG pitch in such good condition ahead of a Boxing Day test.

The MCG was graded as average for last year’s match and poor in 2017.
