A Merredin farmer is using a 25m pool to train for the Rottnest Channel Swim this weekend.

Michael Davis will be hoping to finish the Rotto swim for the first time after he was pulled from the water last year due to shark sightings.

Mr Davis and his friend Luke have been training for the open water event at a secluded pool 300kms away from the ocean.

He told Steve and Baz about his preparation.
