COVID crisis kills $3.1b worth of tourism bookings in WA

Coronavirus restrictions and lockdown measures have forced the cancellation of six months worth of bookings across WA’s tourism industry.

Tourism Council WA says that equates to $3.1 billion lost and 30,000 jobs shed.

Council boss Evan Hall told Gareth Parker on Mornings they’re most concerned about those in the state’s north, who don’t normally operate during the wet season.
